Our Tours

Our family welcomes visitors to our homeland, to our Country. Our Fathers and Grandfathers wanted tourism on our homelands. Tourism allows us to follow and practice what our Elders taught us, to remember our fathers and to give this to the next generation to continue. With tourism on our homelands, we can make more places for family to live and look after the visitors and give our children a future on their Country.

Marlkawo day tours - launching in 2026!

Come and visit us at Marlkawo, our remote homelands in the Stone Country, part of the Arnhem Land Escarpment.

  • Take a short 45-minute scenic flight from Jabiru to our Marlkawo airstrip, flying over vast floodplains, rivers and magnificent Stone Country formations.

  • Receive a traditional water Welcome to Country from our community members.

  • Walk and talk on Country with us as we visit our local waterfalls and waterholes for a swim, learn about and try seasonal bushtucker and hear and see stories of our extensive rock art galleries – just as our Ancestors left them (approx. 10km walking return).

  • Enjoy a ground oven or BBQ lunch by the waterhole.

  • Relax for the afternoon spending time with our Bininj (men) and Daluk (women) learning Pandanus weaving, jewellery making, painting, spear, firestick or stringybark shelter making.

  • Hear stories of our Elders who built this community with their bare hands so their children and grandchildren could always live on their Country.

This is an exclusive and unique opportunity to visit a small remote Bininj family homeland in West Arnhem Land. Experience our everyday cultural way of life, see rock art galleries created by our Ancestors and swim in pristine waterfalls and rock pools.

Become a part of our family as we walk and talk on Country, together.
